The Region 6 Healthcare Coalition continues to utilize the MPSCS 800 MHz system for primary disaster communication. The Region 6 Healthcare coalition continues to assist partners in accessing the system through the deployment of radios. Using federal grant funding, Region 6 has been able to continue repairing, upgrading and modifying this capability within the Region for many years. In order to be compliant with Federal, State and Regional rules, please note the following of any radios deployed by the Region 6 Healthcare Coalition:
- Radios deployed by Region 6 are deployed assets that may be reclaimed and repurposed if a disaster situation necessitates it as determined by Region 6.
- Region 6 owned radios must not be used for primary communication. These radios are not allowed to be used to establish a new/not pre-existing communication capability except contacting Region 6.
- Deployed radio templates may not be changed (talk groups added) without written permission from the Region 6 Communications Workgroup
- Regional partners must monitor CHREG6 for regional partner communications and emergencies.
